Commissioner publishes new two-year Strategic Plan
The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) has published a new Strategic Plan which outlines her vision for the organisation and key priorities for the next two years.
Further to a performance data and demand review of the operational functions of PIRC, four strategic objectives have been identified. These encompass delivery by all areas of the business.
Commissioner Michelle Macleod said, “Our new strategic priorities will require to be delivered within an environment of increasing demand, a challenging financial position, and potential significant changes to PIRC’s statutory responsibilities as a result of the Police (Ethics, Conduct and Scrutiny) (Scotland) Bill.
“The new Strategic Plan recognises these challenges and continues to prioritise my focus on learning and improvement, whilst increasing standards in policing bodies operating in Scotland.”
