Investigation update: death following police contact (Johnstone) - May 2023
We have been directed by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) to investigate the circumstances of the death of a 44-year-old man following an incident involving police in Johnstone on 30 May 2023.
Once the investigation is concluded, a report on our findings will be submitted to the COPFS for consideration.
Update: a final report was issued to COPFS on 16 October 2023.
